Building your talent pipeline: How to engage with education

18th May 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Is your organisation struggling to find new talent to fill vacant roles?
Are there misconceptions and myths about the roles available within your sector?
Are you able to recruit from your local community?

Employers can work to tackle the skills shortages they face and future protect their organisations by engaging more effectively with education. Employers need to be at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating with the next generation of employees in our county. This free to attend event will help you to assess the ways in which your business can engage with our future generation – whether that be young people within schools, further education institutions or universities:

  • Hear from employers who have successfully engaged with education and brought young talent into their organisations
  • Learn how to work with the Careers Hubs and the Careers and Enterprise Company to shape school careers education programmes
  • Understand the Further and Technical Education pathways – do you know what your local college/training provider has to offer?

Hertfordshire LEP is proud to partner with Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce in delivering this event to help employers at every stage of their recruitment process, by providing practical advice and digital toolkits via its skills and employment portal, HOP (Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal).
