We are a private based Beauty, Nails, Holistics and Makeup Academy based in Hatfield.

All courses are taught by highly professional tutors with over 20 years experience in teaching and almost 30 years in the industry. The environment and premises the students are taught in is perfect for what they are learning.

We offer fully funded courses where students can apply for the advanced learner loan and also run short accredited courses. We also offer 1-2-1 courses.

The Academy has a 5 star rating and has recently been short listed for the Hertfordshire Biz awards. We get involved with lots of schools and colleges to run enrichments courses for their students and believe that all companies should work together.

DBTA has been running for 3 years now and we have a huge student base and have well known and professional brands who come in and run workshops and courses for existing learner’s.

​”Down the Woods” believes that everyone should be able to connect in some way with the natural environment.

We achieve this by working with schools, nurseries, children centres to provide them with Forest School sessions.

We also run playschemes and parties which enable us to fund various community projects these include our well being group at our community garden near Hitchin.

The wellbeing group maintain and harvest our vegetables and fruit which we then donate to Hatfield and Stevenage food banks.

We are one of the leading Forest School organisation in Herts and also run Forest School training.
