Services for Young People

Hertfordshire County Council’s Services for Young People (SfYP) provides targeted prevention and early intervention through youth work, information, advice, guidance and support into employment, education and training.

Committed to giving young people high-quality opportunities to learn life skills and excel in their personal and social development, SfYP aims to address issues at the earliest opportunity to give young people the best chance to succeed, have a place in their community, to reach their potential and make a successful transition to adulthood.

Employers and their businesses play a key role in the education of young people about the world of work, developing the skills they need to start and establish their careers. SfYP can support employers with their recruitment and enable them to engage with young people in education, ultimately inspiring and motivating the next generation of employees.
