LGBT Inclusion in the Workplace

PROMOTING AND ENCOURAGING AN INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE FOR PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY AS LGBT

This Workshop will assist businesses in raising staff awareness of the LGBT history and culture and the organisational policies and legislation affecting LGBT.

This Workshop is funded through the Skills Support for the Workforce Programme on behalf of Serco. Upon application of your ticket, you will be contacted by the TCHC Gateway Team who will arrange an appointment for completion of your funding paperwork in order to confirm your eligibility.

Our Workshop consists of a 1-day Introductory Session which is delivered by our TCHC Tutor. You will then be given an opportunity to complete the full Level 2 Certificate in LGBT Inclusion in the Workplace qualification.

Topics to be covered will include:

• Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans history and culture
• Language, stereotyping and assumptions
• Policies and legislation affecting LGBT people in the workplace
• Contributing to a supportive workplace environment
